GOLF

The golf course will be designed and operated in order to receive certification from the Audubon International Cooperative Sanctuary Program (ACSP) for golf.

Some of the initiatives that we hope to employ include:

  • Growing native plants so that much of the course can be re-vegetated and then left to grow wild, creating a wildlife haven for local bird species.

  • Using drought-tolerant, native grasses that require minimal irrigation.

  • Removing invasive plant varieties. â€‹â€‹

  • Recycling green waste into compost.

  • Recycling grey water for use on the golf course.

  • Creating drainage areas in dry creek beds to attract wildlife.

  • Minimal pesticides use via an integrated pest management system.

  • Walking will be encouraged.
